ABOUT TITLE I
Yeled v’Yalda’s Title I program is aligned with the US Department of Education’s ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) guidelines in helping students continually raise the bar of excellence in academic achievement. We empower students by fostering their progress in literacy and math skills, and by helping them develop socially and emotionally. Yeled v’Yalda’s Title I program is evidence-based and data-driven, and our commitment to quality education is fortified by our embrace of diversity and our commitment to cultural sensitivity.
Yeled v’Yalda’s Title I program guides students toward independent learning and educational success by providing the crucial tools necessary for ongoing academic achievement. We partner with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create an environment conducive to the academic development of each student. Our experienced instructors reinforce the efforts of students, teachers, and schools by creating a high-quality academic support system using ongoing research-based professional development, training, and resources. Coordination and collaboration with schools, teachers, parents, and professionals allows us to create a seamless network that extends our robust resources to students and their families.
Yeled v’Yalda’s skilled teachers assist eligible students within targeted pull-out groups by providing supplemental instruction in ELA (English Language Arts) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills.
Yeled v’Yalda’s qualified tutors support student progress by assisting them with homework and providing targeted instruction in math and literacy skills.
Our licensed counselors help support and improve academic development and progress by helping students build social-emotional and coping skills.
Our qualified mentors help nurture the social-emotional skills of students to enhance academic performance. Mentors model a big-brother/little brother and big sister/little sister paradigm while doing homework and fun-filled educational activities.
Yeled v’Yalda’s parent engagement services promote student growth and development by providing parent workshops and counseling sessions to address the academic needs of children. Our parent engagement community center services offer parents of children receiving Title I the ability to access parent supportive services within the community, including workshops, counseling, and mentoring.
Professional development sessions are designed to support teachers in meeting the academic needs of their students through coaching and educational workshops.
Yeled v’Yalda’s extended-year program offers students project-based learning opportunities throughout the summer months to promote and maintain academic gains.
